A downloadable game

INARI is a 2D hack-and-slash platformer created as a capstone project by game development students at Columbia College Chicago.

This version of INARI is a legacy build, the full, updated version is available for free on Steam.

---

Concept:

Take control of a ninja kitsune who has descended from the heavens to slay the evil spirits plaguing Japan. Slash your way through demons as you run across rooftops, through crowded festival streets, and make your way to the leader of the demonic parade.

INARI provides players with an arsenal of different attacks to slay enemies in style - from quick stabs to hard-hitting heavies and even aerial swipes. By stringing together moves to create combos, you can cut through enemies with ease and rack up divine style points.

---

Controls:

Keyboard: Arrow keys - Move, Space - Jump, Attack - Z, Dash - Shift, Parry - C

Controller: Left stick - Move, A - Jump, Attack - X, Dash - Left Trigger, Parry - B

this game is amazing and the work and dedication poured into the art and gameplay shows, I cannot wait to see more and it's honestly really cool to work with you despite

being so late into it.

Awesome work here ya'll!! I had some hiccups when it came to my recording, but I had a fantastic time playing through this game and giving my first-hand impressions! I am a terrible Keyboard player so excuse my rough gameplay but it is very addicting what you have in store for us! I would like to see more from the tutorial aspect, and something I found particularly useful was the options menu. I know that sounds weird but it's something that is useful for players and I found myself easily accessing it to raise/lower the volume. If it's possible I'd like to see the option to view controls, so that when I join back into the experience, I can easily pick up and play! Also perhaps a tutorial on the scoring would be helpful for players looking to replay and beat their highscores!

Absolutely incredible stuff! The movement is buttery smooth and the combat is already pretty insane, and with just a tiiiny bit of polish it can be incredible! Check out 20:00-38:00 for my thoughts!
